The Associate Vice President of Business Office Services, (AVP-BOS) Revenue Cycle position is responsible for providing leadership, oversight and strategic direction for the Central Business Office (CBO) departments (Departments) within the VUMC Revenue Cycle. Responsibilities include planning, developing, implementing, and operating a structure of centralized/consolidated management of accounts receivable for the system. This includes the activities of all Medicare, Medicaid, Self Pay, Commercial and other third party billing, billing follow up and collections, , and customer service center. This position works to appropriately integrate, facilitate best practices, achieve efficiencies and align with the systemâs strategic plan, financial plan, and finance key performing indicators (KPIs) while maintaining quality and customer service standards and ensure the Departments are operating within rules and regulations applicable to the Departments. This position serves as an internal consultant/expert for all CBO functional areas and provides a bridge between clinical and revenue cycle areas to support quality patient care, patient satisfaction and revenue cycle objectives.

AVP BOS Job Functions & Expected Performances:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience with
- Recent EPIC systems (HB, PB, etcâ¦) experience
- Experience managing high volume and high cost vendor relationships
- Master's Degree in Healthcare (Management or Business)
- 10 yearsâ experience managing both hospital (technical) and professional billing
