The Assistant Superintendent will have access to employee housing. Job Description: The Aspen School District is seeking a highly skilled, team oriented Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations to begin on our about July 1, 2023. THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY IN ONE OF COLORADO'S TOP SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN THE HEART OF THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS. This individual will provide and be accountable for the leadership, strategic direction, management, quality control, and evaluation of the district's financial operations, processes, and procedures as well as the district's operations. The Assistant Superintendent will need to be a clear communicator, authentic collaborator, a regular and visible presence in the schools and community, and a role model for attention to detail and process management. An individual who thrives in the outdoors and immerses oneself in, and contributes to, the culture of the greater community will be a strong candidate.
A critical responsibility of the Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations will be to engage staff and stakeholders in achieving the "Stewards of Resources Goal" from the District’s 2022-26 Strategic Plan stating "We will be responsible stewards of District resources, ensuring that students and staff have access to superior technology, human resources, sustainable energy, nourishing food, and quality extracurricular activities. A Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. At least five years of experience leading financial operations in education or governmental operations or equivalent preferred. Applications close January 27, 2023.
