Job Description:
POSITIONGOALS
· To support the Business Office responsibilities to students and the College community.
· To provide support to the Financial Administrative Services Department.
· Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
· Provides remote coverage for telephone and email inquiries as needed, using professional judgment to respond to a variety of customer service requests, in a friendly and courteous manner.
· Processes payments and other related financial transactions
· Perform reconciliation between the Student Information System and Finance Enterprise, including third party payments, ACH, wires, NSF transactions and Chargebacks
· Process daily reconciliation for TouchNet C/R sessions and interface to bank
· Perform Journal entries related to cash and third party payments
· Review and process Stop Payment request for student refunds utilizing Colleague, Finance Enterprise and bank resources
· Assist with maintenance of student bankruptcy filing and write-offs
· Initiate NSF and ACH returns process
· Assist with student refunds and eRefunds and bank interface in established time frames
· Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and social economic backgrounds.
· Answers questions about College-wide services and directs visitors, faculty, staff and students to appropriate offices/services.
· Develops and maintains knowledge about College services such as advising, financial aid, WebAdvisor, testing, location of classes and events, etc.
· Perform monthly interface transfer and reconciliation between Colleague and Finance Enterprise
· Assists in reconciling external collection efforts and prepare invoice for payment
· Assists in reconciling all student Accounts Receivables for financial reporting
· Five years' experience with accounting and finance or related field.
· Three years of customer service experience with evidence of an exceptional customer service orientation and the willingness to go beyond the expected in delivering services
· Superior interpersonal and judgment skills
· Good oral and written communication skills
· Analytical and detail oriented with problem solving skills
· Ability to work in an intense environment with a diverse population
· Computer skills, including aptitude to master basic functions in Colleague, the College's student information system; experience using office productivity software and Touchnet, the College's E-commerce software, as well the College Financial system, One Solution
· The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
